Nancy Alspaugh, Promise Scholarship Program Director, Grades 7 & 8
Nancy Alspaugh joined the Community Foundation in August 2016 after retiring as Principal of Manchester Junior/Senior High School. At the Foundation, Nancy
serves as the Promise Scholarship Program Director for Grades 7 and 8. She is responsible for managing the 7th and 8th grade sections of the Wabash County
Promise Scholarship Program, which includes meeting with schools, teachers and administrators, students, and families. Nancy is a North Manchester native,
graduating from Manchester High School. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Purdue University and her Master's Degree from University of Saint Francis.
After a lengthy career in public education, Nancy was eager to join the Community Foundation so that she could continue to serve Wabash County Youth.
Joanne Case, Promise Scholarship Program Director, Grades 4 - 6
Joanne Case joined the Community Foundation in August 2016. Joanne is responsible for manaing the Wabash County Promise Scholarship Program for Grades 4
through 6. Joanne is a graduate from Brigham Young University, and also holds a graduate certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language and a
Transition to Teaching License. With her strong passion for education, Joanne was excited to begin working with the Promise Scholarship program at the
Community Foundation so that she could partner with schools and families to further empower students to pursue lifelong learning.
Cathy Dillon, Program Assistant
Cathy Dillon has been working with the Community Foundation for 17 years as the Program Assistant. She supports many areas of the Foundation, with a focus
on the work of the Program Director and the Scholarship and Grant programs. Cathy was born and raised in Wabash, Indiana and is a graduate of Wabash High
School. Cathy is a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles (Lodge #549) and the American Legion (Post 248). In her free time, she enjoys spending days with
her family, going bowling, and playing pool. Cathy became interested in working for the Foundation in 2001 because of its focus on community outreach.
Reily Frankum, Marketing and Communications Director
Reily Frankum began working at the Community Foundation in 2014 as the Marketing and Communications Director. Her work focuses on maintaining public
relations, as well as advancing and implementing the marketing strategies of the Foundation. Reily is a graduate of Northfield High School and Manchester
University, where she earned degrees in Accounting and Marketing. She enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and traveling in her free time.
Reily is eager to develop the Foundation's presence in Wabash County so as to make the biggest possible impact on the community.
Julie Garber, Program Director
Julie Garber has been working with the Community Foundation for 5 years as the Program Director. Her main areas of focus are Scholarships and Grants, as
well as working with the many Foundation committees. Julie was born in nearby Elkhart, Indiana and is the youngest of 4 siblings. She graduated from
Manchester University, and since has attended graduate school at Indiana University, Bethany Theology Seminary in Oak Brook, Illinois, and the University of
Chicago. In her free time, she enjoys taking long walks around North Manchester, visiting her mother at Timbercrest, and traversing the outdoors at the many
reservoirs in the local area. Julie was excited to be working at the Foundation because of its interest in high impact programs for education.
Patty Grant, Executive Director
Patty Grant has been working with the Community Foundation, non-congruently, for 7 years as the Executive Director, and for 25 years as a member of the
Board of Directors. As the Executive Director, she is involved with all areas of the Foundation, but spends the majority of her time establishing endowments
and working with donors to ensure their charitable aspirations are met. Patty earned an economics degree from DePauw University, and an MBA from the
University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family, running, and gardening. Patty was intrigued by
the Community Foundation because of its progressive history and influential impact on the community.
Terri Sprunger, Executive Assistant
Terri Sprunger joined the Community Foundation in March of 2016. As the Executive Assistant, Terri is quickly becoming familiar with all areas of the
Community Foundation's work. She provides administrative support to the Executive Director, Program Director, Board of Directors, and Committees. Terri
brings a wealth of administrative experience to the foundation, ranging from the medical field, to legal and education. Her interest in the Community
Foundation stems from her desire to be a part of bettering the Wabash Community.
